Kabuka Boraku is a gripping financial thriller based on the popular novel by Ikeido Jun. The story follows Bando Hiroshi, a dedicated credit officer at a major bank who strongly opposes granting an additional loan to a giant supermarket chain because of its failed restructuring efforts. However, Vice President Ninohe Tetsuya fiercely supports the loan to avoid a banking crisis, while secretly plotting to ruin Hiroshi. The tension escalates when a supermarket store is suddenly bombed. The perpetrator demands the immediate resignation of the dictatorial CEO, Kazama Kozo, threatening further attacks. To protect their plummeting stock prices, the supermarket attempts a dangerous cover-up, but Hiroshi insists on exposing the truth to the public. Meanwhile, Detective Yaen Hiromitsu begins investigating the crime, placing his suspicions on a young man named Inunaki Ko, who was spotted at the scene of the explosion. This intense battle of ethics, corporate greed, and crime keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
