Description:

In the psychological horror film Cello, Mi Ju is a music professor haunted by a tragic past. Once a promising cellist, she quit playing after a fatal car accident claimed the life of her rival and best friend, Tae Yeon. Mi Ju now lives a distant life with her husband, sister-in-law, and two daughters. However, her quiet existence shatters when a disgruntled student threatens her and she receives a mysterious cassette tape containing a haunting cello duet. Things grow darker when her mute, mentally disabled older daughter becomes obsessed with playing a new cello, and a creepy, mute maid moves into the house. Soon, terrifying events plague the household, starting with the mysterious death of their dog, Sunny. As her sister-in-law spirals into madness and deadly accidents occur, Mi Ju must face a horrifying reality. Is the vengeful spirit of Tae Yeon returning for revenge, or is Mi Ju’s own overwhelming guilt driving her to the brink of insanity?
