In Zenkai Girl, ambitious rookie lawyer Ayukawa Wakaba dreams of a high-paying international career. However, her plans derail when her firm withdraws from Japan, forcing her to accept a job at a firm run by Sakuragawa Shoko. Instead of practicing law, Wakaba is shocked to be tasked with babysitting Shoko's brusque five-year-old daughter, Hinata. Despite her dislike for children, the determined Wakaba vows to handle the challenge. While taking Hinata to nursery school, Wakaba runs into Yamada Sota, a man she previously mistook for a train molester. Sota is dropping off his child Bitaro, a friend of Hinata. When Sota is praised as an exemplary ikumen, a man actively involved in child-rearing, the career-driven Wakaba scoffs at the concept, dismissing it as economically unproductive. This sparks an entertaining clash of values between an ambitious lawyer and a dedicated father, turning Wakaba's world upside down.
