In the action thriller The Machine Girl, Ami is a cute, gregarious high school student trying to escape her dark past. With her parents deceased, she looks after her younger brother alone while practicing her jump shots after school. However, her world is shattered when her brother is brutally murdered right in front of her by a local school gang led by the punk heir to a Yakuza family. Something snaps inside Ami, and she transforms into a lethal killing machine seeking revenge on the class bullies. Although she loses her arm in the ferocious fight and the Yakuza leader escapes, Ami is soon retrofitted with a high-powered machine gun for an arm. Armed with this deadly new weapon, she continues her bloody path of vengeance to hunt down everyone responsible for her brother's death.
