Description:

Shi Cha Hai is a compelling story following three generations of a modern Chinese family rooted in Beijing's historic Hutongs. Old Man Zhuang Weitian, a traditionalist, finds his peaceful routine shattered by the bustling popularity of Shi Cha Hai and the arrival of Tong Dawei. Dawei, aiming to win the heart of Zhuang Jing, challenges Zhuang Weitian's strict principles by pursuing Tai Chi apprenticeship under him. Concurrently, Zhuang Weitian's son, Zhuang Zhiwei, struggles to rekindle love, his efforts complicated by his ex-wife's unexpected return. Meanwhile, his third brother, Zhuang Zhibin, driven by pride, makes disastrous investment choices, gets scammed, and is expelled from the family home. Despite the personal turmoil and family disputes, the film beautifully culminates on New Year's Eve. As the epiphylla blooms, the family, having diligently navigated their lives in Shi Cha Hai, reunites to joyfully welcome the auspicious Spring Festival together.
