Scrap Teacher is an inspiring school drama centering on Shuzaburo Kusaka, played by Yuto Nakajima. Kusaka is an earnest junior high student stuck in a failing school that is scheduled to close. Despite dealing with rowdy classmates and incompetent teachers, he remains determined to get an education. His idealistic new homeroom teacher, Toranosuke Sugi played by Kamiji Yusuke, wants to make a difference but struggles against the cynical environment. Everything changes when Kusaka encounters three mysterious new transfer students: Toichi Takasugi played by Ryosuke Yamada, Eitaro Yoshida played by Yuri Chinen, and Sugizo Irie played by Daiki Arioka. Joining Kusaka's class, this dynamic trio decides to take action. Together with their passionate homeroom teacher, they set out on a mission to reform the incompetent staff, tame the wild student body, and completely revitalize the school's negative ethos before it is too late.
