Now, after decades, Shunpei returns to Japan to conduct a provincial orchestra. There, he unexpectedly encounters his daughter, Hibiki, whom he hasn't seen in five years. They begin to live together, but Hibiki, in stark contrast to her father, despises music and lives a life deliberately devoid of it. Blinded by his lifelong devotion to music, Shunpei struggles to comprehend his daughter's true feelings. This heartfelt family drama follows Shunpei as he endeavors to fulfill his role as a father, slowly helping Hibiki's life, which had stagnated years ago, to move forward once more.
