Description:

In Edo Period Japan, a dedicated officer from the Arson and Theft Control Division, Juzo, makes a shocking discovery. He finds a notorious wanted thief dead, apparently killed by his own pregnant wife. Moved by her desperate situation, Juzo decides to act against protocol. He compassionately hides the body and ensures the wife's safety, offering her refuge from the law and dangerous criminal elements.

However, the delicate situation quickly escalates. Juzo’s division successfully apprehends a key member of a prominent thief gang, coincidentally the same organization the deceased thief belonged to. Suddenly, another powerful figure from the criminal underworld threatens Juzo. This new player claims to have abducted the pregnant woman Juzo protected, demanding the immediate release of the recently captured gang member in exchange for her life. Now, Juzo faces an impossible dilemma, forced to choose between his duty and the woman he sought to save.
