Description:

A captured thief, Kumehachi, is shocked to learn his former leader, Chigashira no Tanbei, is implicated in a brutal robbery. Kumehachi finds this impossible, as the Tanbei he knew adhered to a strict code: no killing, no stealing from the poor, and no rape. Convinced that an impostor is at fault, Kumehachi receives permission from Heizo to infiltrate and investigate Tanbei's gang activities.
