In the heartwarming drama My Little Hero, Yoo IlHan, played by Kim RaeWon, is an arrogant musical director who has fallen from grace. After a major box-office failure, he is stuck directing children’s musicals but still dreams of making it to Broadway in New York City. His golden opportunity arrives with a TV musical competition designed to select the main child actor for a massive Broadway-bound production about King Jungjo of the Joseon Dynasty. Five directors are chosen to mentor one child each. During a blind audition, Yoo IlHan selects YoungKwan, played by Ji DaeHan, only to discover the boy is half-Filipino-Korean and completely lacks dancing skills. Furious and convinced his Broadway dreams are shattered, Yoo IlHan reluctantly begins training the young boy. However, as they work together, the frustrated director begins to see a unique and special talent in YoungKwan, sparking a touching journey of mentorship, redemption, and second chances.
