"Love Is for the Dogs" follows the intertwining lives of two individuals who have given up on romance. Aiko, a skilled divorce lawyer, has grown cynical about love due to her parents' fractured marriage, finding solace and joy in her single life and her cherished dog, Sakura. On the other side, Kai, the director of a bustling 24-hour animal hospital, is highly respected for his talent and good looks but keeps emotional distance from others, focusing his energy on his rescued dog, Shogun, and his work saving animals.

Their solitary worlds collide during a chance encounter when Sakura and Shogun instantly fall in love. This undeniable canine connection slowly begins to chip away at Aiko and Kai's guarded hearts, subtly pushing them to re-evaluate their own beliefs about relationships and happiness. The arrival of Woo So Ha, a charming young man from Korea with a mysterious mission connected to Kai, further complicates their burgeoning relationship, challenging them to confront their pasts and open up to the possibility of a different future.
