Description:

The Kinnaree Conspiracy is set in prosperous Ayutthaya under King Narai, a period of global trade and diplomacy where Western influence causes local resentment. Lady Pudsorn, a gifted doctor's daughter, teams with police nobleman Aok Luang Viscount Indra Ratchpakdee and charming Frenchman Monsieur Robert. They investigate the suspicious death of a French cargo ship captain found in a Kinnaree-patterned royal sarong, a strictly forbidden design. This explosive discovery threatens war, potentially allowing France to seize Ayutthaya. Their perilous investigation uncovers a web of secrets and suspects, including a powerful palace lady.
