In Itazura na Kiss Love in TOKYO, high school student Kotoko Aihara, played by Honoka Miki, is not that smart but instantly falls in love with the pretty boy Naoki Irie, played by Yuki Furukawa, at their high school entrance ceremony. Initially keeping her feelings to herself, Kotoko finally finds a chance to express how she feels. Unfortunately, Naoki turns her down, coldly saying he does not like dumb women. Things take an unexpected turn when an earthquake severely damages Kotoko Aihara's house. Until their home is rebuilt, Kotoko and her father decide to live with her father's friend. When Kotoko moves into her new temporary house, she is surprised to learn that Naoki Irie lives there as well. This unexpected situation brings the two under one roof.
