"Destiny" follows Nishimura Kanade, whose life was marked by tragedy when her prosecutor father died in an incident during her middle school years. Inspired to follow his path, she became a prosecutor. While studying law, she forged strong friendships with four classmates, but a suspicious death case during their law school days abruptly shattered their close bond.

Twelve years later, Kanade, now 35, works as a prosecutor in Yokohama, sharing a stable life with her doctor boyfriend. Her carefully constructed present is challenged when a former law school classmate, who disappeared after that fateful death case, suddenly reappears. This forces Kanade to revisit the unresolved mysteries of her youth. As she confronts the suspicious death from her law school days, she is led to investigate the truth behind her father's death from two decades ago and uncover the hidden secrets her friends harbored. This journey compels her to face long-buried truths and seek justice for the past.
