Description:

The mystery drama Children is based on the chilling true unsolved murder case of the Frog Boys. On March 26 1991 during a school day off for local elections five boys set off to a nearby mountain and never return. While desperate parents plead for an immediate investigation authorities prioritize guarding election poles. Even when thousands of police eventually search the mountain nothing turns up. In 1996 disgraced and career-driven documentary maker Kang Ji Seung is transferred to the small town. Determined to make a comeback he decides to investigate the disappearance. He teams up with an ambitious professor who hopes to make a name for himself by solving the crime. Together they pursue the professor's compelling theory which points them in a direction the police were reluctant to investigate.
