In "Amalock," 39-year-old Yuko, a once high-achieving woman, finds herself retreating to her family home as a NEET after her demanding career attitude cost her a prestigious Tokyo job. For years, she comfortably coexists with her easygoing father. However, her life is hilariously upended when her 70-something dad brings home Saki, his new 20-year-old bride-to-be. The arrival of the younger woman sparks an immediate, uproarious culture clash. As Saki unexpectedly takes to "mothering" Yuko, a scandalized Yuko fiercely resists with a "you're not my mom" attitude, leading to a delightful comedy of manners filled with awkward situations and generational friction.
