"Zoo" is a chilling collection of five unpredictable stories, marking the first screen adaptation of young author Otsuichi's work. This anthology plunges viewers into fear, sadness, and pain through four live-action segments and one animated short. One story follows a man photographing a dead woman at an abandoned zoo, only for the zoo to mysteriously disappear, blurring his reality. Another delves into the disturbing dynamics of twin sisters, where a mother's favoritism leads to severe abuse and shocking consequences. Audiences will also witness a harrowing tale of a young boy and his sister trapped in one of seven concrete rooms, each holding a prisoner facing an impending massacre. A poignant story explores a boy caught between his parents, who both believe the other is deceased. Finally, a CG animated piece presents a unique man's journey of understanding life and death in a world where humanity is nearly extinct.
