In the classic samurai action film Zatoichi 11 Zatoichi and the Doomed Man, the legendary blind swordsman Zatoichi finds himself briefly jailed. During his short time behind bars, he is approached by a desperate fellow prisoner. This doomed man has been sentenced to death for a crime he claims he did not commit, and he begs the blind swordsman to help prove his innocence. Initially, Zatoichi is highly reluctant to get involved, knowing from bitter past experiences that meddling in such dangerous affairs only brings trouble. However, fate has other plans. A series of unexpected events repeatedly drags him back into the conflict. As he is forced to navigate the unfolding chaos, Zatoichi slowly begins to believe in the prisoner’s innocence. Driven by a deep sense of justice, he finally decides to take action and fights against all odds to free the doomed man before his time runs out.
