Yasuko to Kenji is a heartwarming drama about family bonds, romance, and secret pasts. Ten years after losing their parents in a tragic accident, Kenji works tirelessly to support his younger sister, Yasuko. To make a living, this former gang leader hides his tough history and works as a gentle shojo mangaka. Kenji normally wears glasses and appears to be a gentle guy, but he instantly throws off his glasses and reverts to his violent side whenever he tries to protect Yasuko from danger. Meanwhile, the story follows Yasuko as she falls in love with Jun Tsubaki, an intelligent and goodlooking man. This blooming romance becomes complicated by Jun's older sister, Erika. Although Erika currently runs a flower shop, she was once the leader of a female gang and used to be in love with Kenji during those days. This series beautifully explores sibling protective instincts, family drama, and rekindled old flames.
