In the classic comedy film When Fortune Smiles, a dying man is about to leave behind a vast fortune. According to his will, everything goes to his very good daughter. However, his scheming nephew wants the inheritance for himself and hires a thief named Tricky Star to steal the will and alter it. Meanwhile, the dying man's no good son is also plotting. He recruits Phoenix, a humble garbage collector who looks exactly like the absent daughter, to impersonate her.
