"Welcome to the Guesthouse" follows Joon Geun, a university student who postponed his graduation and now faces eviction from his dorm. Desperate to survive the severe Gangwon province winter, he seeks a part-time job offering room and board. He unexpectedly discovers Welcome Guesthouse, a surfing establishment, and convinces them to hire him despite his complete lack of surfing experience. While working there and learning to surf, Joon Geun finds himself in a heated conflict with Seong Min, a wealthy rival, during a lineup. The two agree to settle their dispute with a high-stakes surfing match, where the loser must leave the sea for good. As Joon Geun diligently trains with the help of the guesthouse's seasoned members, his advisor contacts him with news of a crucial job interview scheduled for the very day of the surfing competition. Now, Joon Geun is torn between pursuing his personal challenge and securing his future career, with the clock relentlessly ticking.
