Description:

Set during the Korean War, Welcome to Dongmakgol is a heartwarming war drama about an isolated mountain village untouched by conflict. Fate unexpectedly unites three opposing forces in this peaceful haven: a crashed U.S. fighter pilot, three retreating North Korean soldiers, and two lost South Korean soldiers. When an accidental grenade explosion destroys the village's vital food supply, these enemies-turned-allies agree to stay and help the local farmers. Working side by side, they slowly overcome their deep-seated hatred, developing unexpected bonds of friendship. However, peace is threatened when U.S. commanders mistake the village for a major enemy base and plan a devastating airstrike. To save Dongmakgol from total destruction, the rival soldiers must unite for one final, heroic mission. Together, they hatch a plan to divert the attack, risking their own lives to protect the innocent villagers who showed them humanity.
