"We Got Game" explores the journey of Hau, a hardworking fast food employee whose early morning basketball sessions on a public court are his only solace. Scarred by high school bullying, Hau has long avoided competitive play. His routine is abruptly interrupted when a group of assertive young men forcefully claims the court. Angered by their disrespect, a man named Bo impulsively forms a makeshift team, recruiting Hau, Leung, and Tak to challenge the newcomers. Initially, the three strangers struggle with zero chemistry. Yet, through their individual unique playing styles and Bo's strategic coaching, this underdog trio remarkably achieves victory against their opponents. While they find a profound sense of accomplishment on the court, Hau and his teammates face significant personal struggles off it, feeling lost and overwhelmed. For them, basketball is more than a game; it's their vital escape from the harsh realities of life.
