Warriors Within Season 2 delves into a martial arts world forever altered by a legendary book, co-authored 50 years ago by rival Chinese and Japanese karate experts after a dead-heat match. In 2019, Hong Kong's Chong Wai clinched her first karate championship against a Japanese opponent, but the victory came with severe injuries. The subsequent withdrawal of the Hong Kong team from the Tokyo Olympics left Chong devastated, leading her to abandon karate for an office job, where she meets her boss Darwin. Her friend Chi Ho diligently maintains the dojo, hoping for Chong's return.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Saori Kisaragi faces ostracization due to the controversial martial arts book. Upon discovering Chong defeated a senior member of her clan, Kisaragi travels to Hong Kong, driven by a dual quest: to challenge Chong and locate the mysterious book. Their fated encounter unfolds at the sports institute, where Kisaragi issues a direct challenge. Chong's teammate, Tin Oi, steps forward to fight on her behalf but is instantly defeated, leaving Chong stunned as Kisaragi throws down the gauntlet before departing.
