Description:

Miyako, a recent high school graduate in Aomori Prefecture, feels aimless, working at a supermarket to support her family. Her only true devotion lies in assisting her father, a struggling Tsugaru lacquerware craftsman who inherited the revered trade from his highly respected father. Yet, the declining traditional craft industry has led her father to lose his will, scattering their family. Her mother left due to their poor life and her father’s self-centeredness, while her elder brother chose personal freedom over the family business. Despite her profound passion for Tsugaru lacquer, Miyako cannot openly declare her desire to pursue this challenging art form. As she confronts her complex family and the struggles of the lacquering tradition, she embarks on a significant journey to preserve her heritage and forge her own destiny.
