Description:

Directed by Edmond Pang, Trivial Matters is a unique anthology film comprising seven distinct vignettes that explore the minor, everyday details of human life with a blend of dark wit and wistful sadness. The movie delves into various unconventional stories, including a humorous segment where a young woman, Isabel Chan, finally agrees to please her boyfriend, Eason Chan, on Christmas, prompting him to desperately search the calendar for other holidays. Another poignant story, Ah Wai the Big Head, traces the changing friendship between high schoolers Kei and Ah Wai, played by Stephy Tang and Gillian Chung, from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. In Recharge, a simple yet deeply moving encounter unfolds between a businessman, Chapman To, and a Mainland hooker, Zhang Zheng. Featuring other memorable segments, including Edison Chen as a crude pickup artist and Feng Xiaogang as an assassination agency manager, this film captures the raw, unpredictable, and ultimately trivial nature of life.
