Tomehane! is an inspiring story centered around a high school calligraphy club on the verge of breaking up. To save the club from disbanding, two unlikely students step in to maintain the minimum membership required to keep it alive. Yuki, a promising female judoist, and Yukari, a quiet, Canadian-raised boy who has just returned to Japan, end up joining the group. Alongside the original members, who each possess unique and quirky characters, the newcomers embark on an unexpected journey. While facing various personal problems and obstacles, the members gradually discover the genuine fun and beauty of calligraphy.
