Tokyo Zenryoku Shoujo is a heartwarming drama that follows Urara, a cheerful and daring nineteen-year-old girl from Kagawa. Upon discovering that her father, Takuya, whom she believed dead for fifteen years, is actually alive, she uses all her savings to travel to Tokyo. However, disaster strikes on her very first day when a pickpocket steals all her money. Stranded and penniless, Urara wanders the city until a chance encounter leads her to Takuya, who is now a middle-aged lawyer. Despite his insistence that she return to Kagawa, the meddlesome Urara decides to stay. When she notices several attractive bachelorettes targeting her unsuspecting father, she moves into his home uninvited to protect him from being played a fool. This delightful NTV drama beautifully depicts a fractured family trying to regain its lost time together while Urara searches for her own space in modern day Tokyo.
