Description:

In the romantic drama Tokyo Wankei, Mika Kimoto is a wealthy, third-generation Korean woman living in Daiba, Tokyo. Despite having a successful career and a doctor boyfriend, her life is controlled by her father, Masao, who insists she only marry a Korean. After Masao ruins her relationship, a heartbroken Mika posts a desperate message on a mobile dating service: Please tell me who I really am. Her cry for help is answered by Ryosuke, a blue-collar warehouse worker from Shinagawa Pier. Though separated by Tokyo Bay and vast social differences, destiny pulls them together. Their connection deepens when Mika discovers the secret diary of her late mother, Yuri. The diary reveals Yuri's passionate, hidden romance with a Japanese man before her marriage to Masao. Unwittingly, Mika begins to walk the exact same path as her mother, challenging cultural boundaries for true love. Can Mika and Ryosuke overcome the divide of Tokyo Bay, or will history repeat itself in this emotional journey of self-discovery?
