Other name: Tokugawa bugei-chô: Yagyû san-dai no ken , Three Generations of the Yagyu Sword, 徳川武芸帳 柳生三代の剣

Description:

"Tokugawa Bugei Cho Yagyu Sandai No Ken" plunges into the saga of the Yagyu clan. Sekishusai, a master of the Yagyu Shinkage style, relentlessly pursues fame for his family. His son, Munenori, often neglects sword practice, preferring the company of local ninja children, leading to his father's constant disapproval and harsh judgment. After an injury sidelines Munenori's elder brother, Sekishusai bypasses Munenori, naming his grandson Hyogonosuke as the rightful successor. Inspired by witnessing Sekishusai's unarmed combat technique, Munenori embarks on developing his own defensive martial art. He eventually becomes a highly placed vassal for the rising Tokugawa, first as their sword instructor and later as Minister of Justice, enforcing draconian policies to establish national peace. However, these methods create a deep rift with his son, Yagyu Jubei Mitsuyoshi, who opposes such underhanded tactics. Ultimately, father and son must overcome their bitter disagreements to combat a dangerous plot threatening to destabilize the entire country.
