Description:

A credit union manager in a coastal town lives contentedly with his family. His ambitious daughter, who works at the city hall, plans to marry a fisherman, a decision that brings mixed feelings to both families, despite their eventual consent. During a pre-marriage meeting, the fathers realize they were junior high classmates. However, just five days later, a devastating earthquake and tsunami strike eastern Japan. The fisherman's family suffers immense loss, including beloved members and their home and livelihood. In contrast, the manager's family is spared due to their elevated residence. Overwhelmed by the disaster's aftermath, the daughter focuses on her work. The manager and his wife generously offer their home to the surviving members of the fisherman's family. Yet, upon their arrival, unexpected chaos erupts, forever changing their intertwined destinies.
