The drama Time Between Dog and Wolf follows Lee Soo Hyun, played by Lee Jun Ki, whose life is shattered when the Thai criminal syndicate Cheongbang brutally murders his mother. Adopted by NIS agent Kang Jung Ho, Soo Hyun grows up alongside Kang Min Gi, played by Jung Kyung Ho, and both become NIS agents. Thirteen years after their childhood meeting, Soo Hyun reunites with his love, Suh Ji Woo, played by Nam Sang Mi. However, a failed mission against Cheongbang triggers traumatic memories of Thailand. Desperate for revenge, Soo Hyun accepts an offer from Chief Jeong to go undercover. After staging his death and leaving Ji Woo behind, he assumes the pseudonym Kay in the backstreets of Bangkok.
