Tiger Cubs II follows the elite Special Duties Unit SDU, led by Joe Ma and his dedicated team members Him Law, Oscar Leung, and Mandy Wong. The tight-knit group faces immediate challenges when they must adjust to the demanding working style of the new Chief Inspector Timmy Hung. During a tense hostage rescue, Joe saves Linda Chung, an undercover agent hunted by ruthless triads. Appreciating her bravery, Joe assists her return to the Criminal Intelligence Bureau CIB, and a romance soon blossoms between them. However, Joe grows suspicious of Linda's secretive behavior. Internal conflict peaks after a failed mission, leading to Joe's sudden resignation.
