Description:

Misaki, approaching 40, struggles in a rural town where opportunities are scarce, leaving her dreams unfulfilled despite a university education. Her life is a constant battle against her elderly, handicapped mother's relentless verbal abuse. Misaki finds fragile escapes in two key relationships. She secretly dreams of marrying Naoki, her mother's caregiver, whose clandestine visits offer a much-needed respite. Her other haven is the serene bee farm run by her childhood friend, Kaori, whose sweet, mild honey provides profound comfort. But Misaki's already precarious existence shatters when Naoki betrays her. The devastating blow is soon followed by the abrupt, tragic death of Kaori. These successive, profound losses drive Misaki's heart to an emotional precipice, threatening to overwhelm her entirely.
