The Warrior and the Wolf is a gripping historical drama following Lu Shenkang, a cowardly shepherd forced into military service under General Zhang at a harsh northern border camp. When General Zhang is captured by barbarians, Lu courageously exchanges him for a captured prince to save his commander. Left in charge of the troops during a brutal winter retreat, Lu seeks shelter in the mysterious Harran tribe village. There, Lu takes a local woman who warns him of a dark legend: intimacy with outsiders turns them into wolves. After a devastating sandstorm wipes out his entire unit, only Lu survives. Years later, Imperial China conquers the region, and General Zhang returns to deliver official messages. However, a series of mysterious wolf attacks plague his men. The haunting legend becomes a tragic reality when General Zhang himself is bitten to death by two wolves at a deserted fortification.
