Description:

"The Promise of Chang'an" unfolds in the fictional Sheng country, following the journey of a bright young woman whose youthful romance with the 9th Prince is tragically interrupted. A shocking revelation about his mother's death fuels the prince's determination to usurp the throne for revenge. Before he can act, the king dies, passing the crown to his young son. The prince reluctantly assists the new young ruler while attempting to rekindle his forbidden love with the woman he lost. This creates a deep resentment in the young king, whose hatred explodes upon discovering the affair between his mother and uncle, leading to an intense family conflict the mother desperately tries to mend.
