"The Old Dreams" traces the journey of childhood friends, born in the early 90s, as they navigate life and an evolving world. The story opens with a spirited rivalry between young Chen Yi duo and Bi Lai fu during his brief stay at her home, fostering a complex bond amidst their competitive nature and a loyal, albeit chaotic, circle of friends. Their paths diverge after high school examinations, only to reconnect years later as they forge careers within the dynamic automobile industry.

By 1998, with the automotive sector booming, traditional bicycles face a severe decline. Driven by a desire to safeguard generational memories and a fading legacy, Lai Fu conceives an ambitious plan. He rents an assembly workshop and reunites with his old friends, including Yi Duo. Together, they pool their creativity, developing new ideas and concepts to innovate and transform the old bicycles. Their mission is to revive the product, making these nostalgic symbols young and trendy once again, battling against the tide of modernization with friendship and ingenuity.
