Description:

In the emotional drama The Light Shines Only There 2014, Tatsuo Sato roams around aimlessly after quitting his job to escape a painful past. His directionless life changes when he meets Takuji Oshiro, played by Masaki Suda, at a local pachinko parlor. The two quickly strike up a friendship, prompting Tatsuo to visit Takuji at his home. Located along the beach, the residence is a rundown shack that Takuji shares with his ill father, an ambivalent mother, and his older sister Chinatsu, played by Chizuru Ikewaki. Despite the oppressive atmosphere and the harsh realities of their daily lives, Tatsuo finds himself drawn to Chinatsu, seeing something deeply special in her.
