The Legend of Crazy Monk Season 1 delves into the origins of Ji Gong, a unique fairy among the revered Eighteen Buddha Monks, whose love for meat and beer sets him apart. His divine existence takes a dramatic turn following an incident involving an Eagle that serves the Buddha himself. When Ji Gong successfully captures the formidable bird, a preceding mistake comes to light: two fairies assigned to guard the Eagle inadvertently allowed it to escape. This lapse leads to a severe divine judgment. As punishment, Ji Gong and the two negligent fairies are stripped of their celestial status and banished to Earth, where they are compelled to live as human monks. Furthermore, another fairy, tragically killed by the very same rogue Eagle, is also reincarnated on Earth, but as a regular human rather than joining the monastic path. This series explores their journey as they navigate mortal life, burdened by their past and facing new challenges.
