Description:

In the thrilling adventure film The Last Princess, loyal retainer Makabe Rokurota (Hiroshi Abe) must complete a dangerous mission. He is tasked with transporting Princess Yukihime (Masami Nagasawa) and the vast gold treasury of Akizuki to the politically stable region of Hayakawa. To bypass strict roadblocks set up by Yamana, controlled by the menacing Takayama Gyobu (Kippei Shiina), they disguise themselves as humble firewood peddlers, hiding the gold bars inside hollow logs. Along the way, Rokurota recruits Takezo (Jun Matsumoto) and Shimpachi (Daisuke Miyagawa), two men who recently escaped from forced labor in a gold mine. Though initially hesitant, the duo agrees to help in hopes of escaping Yamana's oppression and claiming a gold reward. Together, this unlikely alliance must navigate hostile territory to bring the princess and her fortune to safety.
