The King of Snooker follows the legendary snooker player Yau Yat Kiu Adam Cheng, who shocks the sports world by suddenly retiring. This decision deeply disappoints his daughter, Yau Ka Kan Niki Chow, who dreams of following in his footsteps. Although Kiu claims he is done with the sport, he secretly sets up a nearly impossible snooker puzzle in his restaurant, waiting for a worthy opponent to solve it. By chance, Kiu meets Kan Tze Him Patrick Tang and, recognizing his raw talent, decides to mentor him. Eventually, Kan also convinces her father to train her. Complications arise as Him falls for Kan, while Kan is drawn to Kiu's bitter rival, Lui Kin Chung Derek Kwok. The crafty Chung manipulates Him’s aunt and manager, Chin To To Joyce Tang, to gain an advantage, causing a massive rift between Him and Kiu. Ultimately, this intense rivalry forces the master and his disciple to settle their differences on the snooker table in a dramatic final showdown.
