The King Of Dramas offers a revealing look into the competitive world of television production. Anthony Kim, a brilliant but ruthless producer who prioritizes money and success, faces a crisis during the finale of his latest series, Elegant Revenge. To secure a product placement deal, Anthony tricks assistant screenwriter Lee GoEun into altering the script. Although the episode achieves massive ratings, a tragic motorcycle accident delivering the tape leads to the delivery man's death. To save himself, Anthony blames GoEun for the unauthorized script changes, ruining her career. However, public backlash over the tragedy soon forces Anthony out of Jekook Production, leaving him broke. Three years later, desperate for a comeback, Anthony learns of a massive funding offer from Watanabe for a drama set during the Japanese colonial era. Remembering GoEun’s script, Morning of Keiyo, Anthony tracks her down at her mother's restaurant, hoping this final gamble will salvage both of their careers.
