Description:

The Key Man introduces Lok Yin Alex Man, whose life takes an unfortunate turn during his U.S.A. studies when he is jailed for 7 years due to manslaughter. While Lok Yin serves his sentence, his girlfriend, Ching Jan Idy Chan, marries his best friend, Ling Fung Wilson Lam. Upon his return to Hong Kong, Lok Yin is determined to modernize his family's department store business. However, luck is not on his side. First, his elder brother, Lok Man Hui Siu Hung, and sister-in-law, Ma Qingyi, are tragically killed in a traffic accident. Then, his father dies from a heart attack.
