The martial arts action film The Iceman 2014 follows four orphans, Ying, Sao, Yuanlong, and Niehu, who grow up in Taoyuan Village to become elite imperial guards. After defeating a Japanese troop leader, Ying is commanded by the Emperor to escort the mysterious Golden Wheel of Time from Sindu. This powerful relic is rumored to possess the abilities of time travel and future foresight. Meanwhile, Mr. Tu, the Chief of National Defence, claims he can identify a traitor within their ranks using handwriting from seized correspondence. However, tragedy strikes when Ying is suddenly confronted in the snow by Sao, Yuanlong, and Niehu. They accuse Ying of murdering Mr. Tu and his entire family. Branded a traitor by the Emperor, who orders the execution of Ying and his clan, Ying must fight for his survival and the truth.
