The Haunted School centers on the strict Narranmoda Boarding School, an all-girls institution with rigid behavioral rules. To boost the school's income, the headmaster admits four male students, segregating them from the girls. Miss Fong, the strict inspector, places them under the watchful eye of the dedicated student monitor, Ho YatMan. Soon, a chilling urban legend comes to life: students who break the rules are summoned to the director's office and mysteriously vanish or turn up dead. When the new boys fall in love with a group of Ho YatMan's friends, the couples begin to disappear and die one by one. In a desperate bid to uncover the truth, Miss Fong reveals a dark secret from twenty years ago. Her aunt, a music teacher married to the headmaster, caught inspector Yuen SiYum having an affair with her husband. Out of rage, she locked Yuen SiYum in an office and set it on fire, burning her alive before falling into a deep coma. This vengeful past now haunts the school.
