Description:

In 2022 Shanghai, an old residential building faces demolition, displacing Zhao Xiu Yan, a dedicated cake shop saleswoman. Her college son, her lifelong sustenance, fuels her desire to find a suitable new home, aspiring for it to be his future wedding house. Living simply, Zhao contrasts with her exquisite colleague, Xiao Li, who enjoys life and is Zhao's loyal admirer. A chance meeting with a kind male customer awakens Zhao's inner desire for love. Blurry-eyed with romantic fantasy, she invests almost all her life savings with him. Her hopes are further shattered when, while visiting a potential new house in Pudong, she accidentally loses a significant bracelet Xiao Li had tried on her. Desperate, Zhao takes out a substantial loan to replace the 100,000 bracelet, silently enduring the crushing burden of debt.
