Description:

The Greatest Expectation introduces Chang Shik, a perpetual freeloader who thrives on free grocery samples and his brother’s generosity. His mundane existence collides with Mi Young, a struggling actress supporting herself at her mother’s video store after countless failed auditions. A literal bump in the neighborhood leads to Chang Shik accusing Mi Young of owing him ten cents, sparking an immediate, intense rivalry between them.

Their petty feud takes an abrupt turn when both Chang Shik and Mi Young separately witness a hit and run incident involving an elderly man named Hwang. The next day, a significant 5 million won award for an eyewitness is announced, creating an irresistible temptation. Despite their bitter animosity, the prospect of such a large sum forces the unlikely pair to confront their differences. However, their joint pursuit of the reward quickly unravels into a complex web of events, ensuring they receive far more than they originally bargained for.
