Description:

The Golden Holiday (KR 2020) centers on Byeong Soo, a diligent detective from the countryside, as he embarks on his family's very first trip abroad to the vibrant Philippines. What begins as a much-anticipated vacation quickly spirals into a harrowing ordeal when Byeong Soo inadvertently becomes entangled in a dangerous criminal plot. The scheme is orchestrated by Patrick, a ruthless killer associated with a formidable criminal organization. To his horror, Byeong Soo is framed and becomes the primary suspect in a murder. Desperate to clear his name, he teams up with local tour guide Man Cheol to investigate the truth. Their initial efforts to solve the case prove difficult and largely unsuccessful. However, a significant turning point occurs when Byeong Soo unexpectedly reunites with his old friend, Yong Bae, which ultimately sends their investigation down a completely unforeseen and complicated path.
