The historical action film The Divine Weapon set during the reign of King Sejong portrays the Joseon Dynasty as a perfect state threatened by the expanding Ming China. Ming China constantly interferes with Joseon internal affairs while keeping them in check with the threat of northern barbarians. Disgusted by this interference King Sejong secretly initiates the development of the Phantom Arrowslinger, a revolutionary weapon he plans to use to reclaim Joseon land and supremacy. However, the stakes escalate when Chinese spies discover the secret project. Desperate to stop the threat, the Chinese emperor attempts to disrupt the development by force, unleashing a chain reaction of brutal violence. This high-stakes conflict puts the destiny of Joseon on the line as they fight to protect their ultimate secret weapon.
