The Black Fox is an action-packed historical drama set in the early Republic of China. Hansen Gu, a powerful man in Shanghai, adopts Sicheng Liao and Tianyi Fang, who grow up alongside his daughter, Ting Gu. While Tianyi secretly loves Ting, her heart belongs to Sicheng. Putting personal feelings aside, Sicheng and Tianyi risk their lives to fight the Japanese invasion, contributing to victory in the War of Liberation. When Hansen tries to arrange a marriage between Sicheng and Ting, Sicheng declines to focus on his patriotic duty, leading all three youth to join the BIS.
